Brand & Business Consulting for Mom Entrepreneurs

Strategy, mindset & wellness to ditch the endless hustle, build systems, and grow a business that fuels your life (and have fun doing it).

Let's work together

Hey, I'm Olivia!

Nine years ago I started my business with big dreams and zero roadmap, now I run two businesses while helping 400+ ambitious founders think bigger, live outside the lines, and create a business that fuels their dream life.

Let's connect:

I’ve watched women rebuild their entire offer suite, fire their whole team, and rebrand twice — all to fix a problem that was never structural in the first place.

And I’ve watched other women blame themselves for not having good enough systems in a business they should have left two years ago.

Same symptom. Two completely different problems.

If you’re a mom founder sitting at your kitchen table at 9pm wondering why this feels so much harder than it should, this is the distinction that matters most right now. Because you’ll either quit something worth saving, or stay in something worth leaving. And both of those cost you years you don’t get back.

Overwhelm is usually an architecture problem. But not always.

We talk about this constantly on the podcast: overwhelm is almost always an architecture problem, not a discipline problem. You’re not lazy, you’re not undisciplined, and you don’t need a better morning routine. You need a business that isn’t structured to require all of you, all the time.

That’s true more often than not. It’s the diagnosis for the majority of the exhausted, brilliant women I work with.

But there’s a version of tired that no system fixes.

You can hire the role. You can drop the draining offer. You can restructure the entire week, protect your mornings, and finally take Fridays off — and the feeling is still there when you come back.

That’s not a systems failure. That’s information.

What business burnout actually feels like

Real burnout has a recognizable shape, and once you know it, it’s hard to unsee.

It’s global. Burnout doesn’t discriminate. Everything feels heavy — including the parts of your business you used to genuinely love. The client work you were excited about six months ago. The creative piece that used to feel like play. When you’re burned out, the good stuff feels heavy too.

It has a clean cause-and-effect. Too much output, not enough recovery, sustained for too long. Usually you can trace it. A launch that took more than you had. A season where the kids were sick for six straight weeks. A quarter where you said yes to everything. Burnout has a story, and the story usually makes sense.

And critically: it responds to rest. Not necessarily fully, and not necessarily fast. But burnout lifts, at least partially, when you actually stop. A lighter week helps. Delegating the thing helps. A real weekend where you don’t open the laptop makes a measurable difference.

That responsiveness is the tell. Burnout is a depletion problem, and depletion refills.

What a signal actually feels like

A signal is a different animal wearing the same coat.

It’s specific, not global. It isn’t everything that feels wrong — it’s one thing. The offer. A particular client. The business model itself. The industry. You can often find the edges of it if you look honestly, and inside those edges is where all the heaviness lives.

Rest doesn’t fix it. This is the biggest differentiator. You come back from vacation genuinely rested — sleep caught up, nervous system settled — and it’s still sitting there. Sometimes louder, because the noise that was drowning it out is finally gone. That’s not a coincidence. Quiet is where signals get audible.

It’s a values mismatch, not a workload issue. You’re not tired of working hard. You’ve always worked hard, and you like working hard. You’re tired of working hard on this specific thing. That’s a completely different sentence, and it points somewhere completely different.

It comes with a pull. There’s usually something on the other side of it — another direction, another kind of work, another version of the business. It might be vague. It might be barely a shape. But there’s a lean toward something rather than only a lean away.

The 5-question diagnostic

Run this honestly. Write the answers down, because your brain will negotiate with you if you keep them in your head.

1. If I took two real weeks off with no email, would this feeling lift — even partially? Two real weeks. Not two weeks where you check in every morning “just for fifteen minutes.”

2. Am I tired of this business, or tired of one specific part of it? Get precise. Name the part if there is one.

3. When I imagine walking away, do I picture rest — or do I picture building something specific and different? This one is quietly the most revealing. Rest is burnout’s fantasy. Building is a signal’s fantasy.

4. Has this feeling been building for months regardless of how the business is performing? If a great month doesn’t touch it, it isn’t about the numbers.

5. If I fixed the one obvious operational problem — hired the role, changed the schedule, dropped the draining offer — would I feel real relief, or would I just find the next thing to blame? You usually know. You just haven’t said it out loud.

Most women aren’t purely one or the other

Here’s the part I don’t want you to skip: you can be burned out and sitting on a real signal underneath it. That’s actually the most common result.

The test isn’t about landing on a clean, single answer. It’s about getting accurate enough to know your next right move.

What to do with your answer

If it’s burnout: name the actual architecture move. Not “rest more” in the abstract — that’s not a plan, that’s a wish. The specific lever. Delegate this role. Cut this offer. Restructure this week. Then give it a realistic timeline before you expect to feel different, because depletion doesn’t refill in a weekend.

If it’s a signal: you don’t have to act on it today. I want to say that clearly, because the fear of what a signal means is exactly why so many women refuse to look at it. Naming it accurately is the win. The next right move is almost always small — a conversation, a test, a season of quietly exploring the pull before you restructure your entire business around it.

If it’s both: fix the architecture first. Always. You cannot accurately hear a signal through the static of genuine exhaustion. Get rested, then re-run the test. The signal will still be there if it’s real — that’s rather the point of a signal.

The one thing to keep

Before you rebuild your business or blow it up, ask which one you’re actually dealing with.

Take two real weeks off first. If the feeling lifts, you have an architecture problem. If it doesn’t, you have a message — and it’s been waiting for you to stop being too tired to hear it.

This week: name it. Out loud or on paper. Burnout or signal. Then run the rest test before you make any bigger move.

If you already know it’s architecture

Most of the women I work with don’t need to leave their business. They need it built differently.
